How do I rotate my admin API key?
Open the dashboard, go to API keys, click "Create key", copy the new value (shown once), and revoke the old one. Server SDKs accept the new key on the next request — no downtime.
Is there an SLA?
No. Root Herald is in beta: there is no contractual SLA, no uptime guarantee, and no committed response time. Support is by email through the contact form. If a written service level is a requirement for you, tell us on the form so we know.
Can I use Root Herald without sending PII?
Yes. That's the default: attestation verdicts are anonymous device assertions; we never see usernames, emails, or content. You join them to a user identity on your side.
Why is my Free tier returning 429?
Free covers 1,000 active devices per calendar month. Devices already active this month keep working; a device that is new to the month is refused once the allowance is used up. The count resets at the month rollover. If you are hitting the ceiling and need more, get in touch — the paid plans that lift it are not open yet.
Does the browser extension work in Firefox?
Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc today. The Firefox listing is with the store for review.
Is my tenant slug case-sensitive?
Slugs are lowercase-only. The signup form auto-lowercases as you type and the server rejects uppercase explicitly.
Can I export my audit log?
Yes. Every tenant has /api/v1/admin/audit-log with cursor pagination.
Where do I report a security issue?
Choose Security disclosure on the contact form. Include the affected component and version, steps to reproduce, and what an attacker gains. We'll confirm we've received it and keep you in the loop — please give us a chance to ship a fix before publishing.
